Evelyn Pelayo is a registered art therapist and published author who started working with Learning Disabled adults in 2011. She founded and directed The Pop-In Community Arts Festival, where she worked with the South-East London LD community to create a variety of workshops and events that promoted creativity and wellbeing in a safe and accessible public space
(https://popincommunityartsfestival.wordpress.com/). She currently provides bereavement support with Cruse Bereavement Care and has a research interest in how artmaking can express how death/loss might be understood by people who have been excluded from a collective understanding of this area.
Katie Turnbull is a registered art therapist and artist working primarily with young people. She has worked with a variety of communities and settings, including the care sector. She has facilitated workshops for young people with additional needs and worked with inclusive arts festivals. She has also facilitated inpatient art therapy groups for the NHS. She currently works for a charity as an art therapist in East London.
